Use plain language: “Synthetic media created using AI.” The label should remain visible during playback and be available to screen readers.
Machine-readable provenance
If the generator supports Content Credentials or another verifiable provenance system, preserve it. Never invent a digital-watermark claim.
Publishing context
Do not pair synthetic media with a headline that presents a character or event as real. Disclosure works with an honest description; it does not repair misleading context.
